Janice Atkinson, MEP Slams Labour Plans To Segregate Women On Trains To Halt Assaults

Janice Atkinson, Independent MEP for the South East of England, has hit out at Labour plans to create women-only “safe” zones on trains to cut down on the number of attacks on passengers.

The proposal, made by Shadow Fire and Emergency  Services Minister Chris Williamson, was slated by Janice – herself a regular rail, tube and bus passenger – who accused him of patronising and wanting to segregate women  as a “vulnerable species”.

Janice said:

“The fact that senior figures in Jeremy Corbyn’s Labour Party are even considering segregating women passengers for their own protection shows the level of patronising lunacy now gripping the Left.

“Chris Williamson, Corbyn and their ilk in the Labour Party have totally outdated views on women. They seem to view us as some sort of different and vulnerable species to be kept protected and even hidden. Maybe they think we should all wear burkas to keep us safe?

“The solution for violence against women on trains lies with men controlling their misplaced urges and not with us being placed out of their reach.  In suggesting this segregation Mr Williamson is posing as a feminazi – and effectively seeking to normalise violent male behaviour.

”He has turned the problem and the solution inside out in some kind of mad Alice Through The Looking Glass political correctness.”
