Janice Atkinson, Independent MEP for the South East of England has put her name to an open letter calling on President Trump to implement his campaign pledge to pull the USA out of the Paris Climate Treaty.
The MEPS, drawn from six European countries, say that the rapid withdrawal of the USA from the accord would effectively scupper it, this helping to end the dominance and high costs of the Green industry.
“MEPs from a number of parties came together to show our support for President Trump in his bid to shut down the climate change industry. It is an industry that has profited for too many years from the poor and one that has become very rich indeed by playing upon people’s fears and shutting down their opposition.
“Taxes, dressed up in green, have been a burden on industry in general, on pensioners and on the poor who have had to pay for politicians’ blind acceptance of bad science and lobby interests.
“If Trump acts, others may too.”
The letter claims that, for all the billions of taxes and subsidies lavished on it, the Green industry has had only a ‘trivial’ effect on global climate. It accuses those who back it of ‘virtue signalling with other people’s’ money’.
