Janice Atkinson MEP, Vice President of the ENF group, told the European Parliament this week that it was time for the nation states of Europe to take a leaf out of President Trump’s book by blockading the Mediterranean to stem the migrant flow threatening the continent.
Condemning the EU’s response to the migrant flow from Libya as ‘pathetic’, she called for a wall of nation state frigates to police our waters and for the special forces of Europe’s nation states to be deployed to destroy people smugglers and their vessels.
Janice told MEP’s in the European Parliament that the migrant flow had now reached the proportions of an invasion. She said: “Let’s get tough in the interests of our own human rights and our own human safety which is now under threat.”
A keen supporter of President Trump and the only British female politician to support his campaign from the first day of his campaign, Janice told the sitting: “We have to take a leaf out of President Trump’s book to protect our way of life and our liberties which I tell you are under threat.
In her speech Janice blamed the collapse of Libya into anarchy on the elitist and consensual policies of Blair, Cameron and Obama whose failed intervention in the Gadhafi’s Libya had created a lawless chaos from which people smugglers and migrants could operate unhindered.
She said: “The EU and its taxpayers are being asked to deal with the mess left by Cameron, Sarkozy and Obama. We should build that frigate wall and protect our citizens’ liberty, human rights and culture.”
