Dear Ms Maltby
I am astounded that you are having a transgender day for children as young as four-years-old, please tell me this is not so?
I am one of your Members of the European Parliament in the south east and a member of the Gender Equality Committee in the European Parliament. Only last week I took part in a family conference when the subject of transgender education was raised a number of times by concerned participants.
There are around sixty different types of gender, apparently, and I wonder why you feel you have to explain transgender theories to young children? Particularly as church aided schools such as yours can opt out of sex education.
I would like to point out that I have no objection to straight forward age appropriate sex education – where babies come from, the differences between boys and girls and what happens to our bodies as we get older, i.e. menstruation. But to confuse their young minds with something that would not have occurred to them at 4-6 years of age and, I would argue, older primary children too, is beyond your role as a head teacher.
This politically correct transgender debate is a Western society construct.
I will also writing to the vicar and head of diocese so that they can also explain their views.
I look forward to hearing from you.
